Facts:

Piccadilly Circus comes from circus – from the Latin word meaning a circle – and piccadill – a term used for various kinds of collars that became fashionable in the late 16th century.

The electric advertisements placed in the corners of Piccadilly Circus first appeared in the early 1900s although only one building now carries them.

Coca-Cola has had a sign at Piccadilly Circus since 1955.

Scottish Landscapes

May 7th, 2007

From all the photos I took throughout the journey I had around the British Islands, the ones from the Scottish Highlands are my favourites. Maybe because every picture in itself transmits the inevitably feeling of loneliness – they represent a vast scenery and maybe you can distinguish a house, an empty road, a boat, etc. Beautiful but sad at the same time.
